Frequently Asked Questions

What are the main features of the DN-306XA mixer?

The DN-306XA has a number of great features, including:

  • Six-channel mixer with a single-channel 120W Class-D amplifier in one rack space
  • XLR/TRS combo input jacks with phantom power
  • Two XLR line outputs
  • Master level control and 3-band equalizer
  • Mic 1 priority control

What are the dimensions for the DN-306XA?
  • Dimensions: 19.0” x 7.7” x 1.7” (483 x 195 x 44mm)
  • Weight: 11 lbs. (5 kg)

Can the DN-306XA be mounted to a rack?

For secure mounting, use a universal rack shelf available from various rack manufacturers or your local musical instrument dealer. The DN-306XA fits into a standard 19" (483 mm) rack. Please allow at least an additional 4" (102 mm) depth for the connectors on the rear panel. Be sure there is enough space around the unit for sufficient ventilation. Do not place the DN-306XA on high-temperature devices (such as power amplifiers) to avoid overheating.

Note: Rack ears come pre-installed on the unit, but can be removed if necessary.

What is MIC 1 Priority?

Mic 1 Priority is used to set how loud the volume level of all other inputs will be when the Channel 1 mic/line input receives an incoming signal. At its lowest setting, a signal received by the Channel 1 mic/line input will mute all other input signals entirely. At its highest setting, a signal received by the Channel 1 mic/line input will not affect the other input signals at all.

Are the inputs and outputs Balanced or Unbalanced?

The MIC/LINE inputs and LINE outputs are all balanced connections providing a low noise connection.

Can I use a condenser microphone?

Yes. The DN-306XA has a phantom power switch on the back for each channel. Phantom power is indicated as PH.

Note: Most dynamic microphones do not require phantom power, while most condenser microphones do. Consult your microphone’s documentation to find out whether it needs phantom power.
